* You should be well-versed in State & Federal requirements for CDL-licensed drivers and company fleet
* Ideally, you'll have experience partnering with a vendor who provides critical monitoring of licenses, medical exams, expiration dates, etc.
* You'll understand the need for confidentiality and discretion with regard to sensitive medical & background information of Company employees
* You should be a pro-active communicator, always working to protect the Company and its employees from unnecessary and avoidable risk

**Scope:**

The DOT Compliance Administrator plays a pivotal role in support of the Company s continuing ability to operate without interruption due to regulatory non-compliance. This position assists in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of standards with regard to Company vehicles. The position is responsible for DOT and Health & Safety compliance reporting.

**Job Duties Include:**

_Fleet Assets_

* Provide input on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of standards & tracking of Fleet
* Collaborate and support Operations by tracking fleet-related environmental, safety, maintenance and image standards
* Monitor compliance with fleet-related environmental, safety, maintenance and image standards
* Track records to ensure proper maintenance is performed to ensure long life of company fleet
* Other duties as assigned

_Licensing and Compliance_

* Maintain fleet and equipment records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records
* Assure accountability and legal compliance by monitoring and procuring all licenses, permits and fees based on federal, state and local jurisdictional requirements
* Assure compliance with all necessary medical exams, drug screening & background checks to satisfy internal and external requirements
* Ensure the Company s CSA scores and associated information is accurate. Recommend action plans when improvement or corrections are needed
* Perform all tasks required to support quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting, audits and questionnaires required by external governing agencies, as they relate to the Company s fleet
* Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews
* Prepare, review and submit, required Federal and State DOT Trucking Registrations, Licensing, Compliance Reports, etc.
* Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards
* Other duties as assigned

_Records Maintenance & Retention_

* Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes
* Maintain all company documentation as it relates to company fleet, DOT, and EHS as required by law
* Other duties as assigned

**Leadership and Team Reach:**

* Works closely with various departments to understand and assist with Federal and State DOT s, Health & Safety Trucking Regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, & Hazardous Materials Regulations
* Provides feedback and recommendations to management regarding any changes or modifications that could impact the Company
* Maintains a strong collaborative relationship with all team members on various regulatory and safety committees.

**Skills and Qualifications:**

* Associates Degree in business or a related field discipline (preferred), and/or equivalent field experience
* Extensive knowledge of and prior experience of DOT rules and regulations
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers
* The desire and ability to excel in ambiguous environments and strive to improve processes by finding efficiencies
* Team-player attitude with a strong work ethic
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS Office Suite products
* Ability to multitask and prioritize various demands
* Familiarity with tax and license reporting
