Job Title: Regional Human Resources Generalist
Reports To: Director, Human Resources FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Regional Human Resource Generalist is based out of West Chester, OH and is responsible for performing transactional and some strategic HR-related duties supporting MULTIPLE locations including OH, IN, MO, OK and MI. Reporting to the Director, this position is a true generalist with demonstrated competence in multiple functional areas including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, reward and recognition programs, employee engagement, and knowledge of employment policies and laws. This position travels, as needed, and carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, onboarding, data entry, benefits administration, team member relations, policy implementation, and compliance.
Primary function is to facilitate new hire orientation and maintain current HR systems by processing paper work and entering new hire information.
Partners with the Corporate HR Team to deliver a results driven, high performing diverse and inclusive culture, and continuous learning and improvement at all levels of the organization.
Partners with Corporate HR to provide ongoing HR consulting services to employees and leaders regarding HR programs, practices, policies, legislation and regulatory requirements including interpretation of policy, identification of risk, impact to the business and recommended solutions.
Assists Corporate HR in the development of HR policies and procedures as well as recognition and reward programs that drive performance results, contribute to a highly engaged workforce, improve moral and retention rates, and align to business priorities.
Ensure that assigned locations have the right level of talent at the right time by working closely with hiring managers and Corporate HR in managing talent acquisition and onboarding activities.
Manage requisitions, source, screen, and identify potential candidates, and maintain applicant tracking system. Schedule onsite interviews with hiring managers, collect and discuss feedback, consult with managers and Corporate HR on hiring decisions, and make job offers upon approval. Onsite coordinator and liaison for Staffing agencies related to contingent workers.
Partners with Corporate HR to manage employee relations and performance issues while ensuring a positive and effective work environment. Conduct investigations related to concerns and allegations, prepare documentation and collaborate with Corporate HR, management and Legal to resolve issues and implement corrective actions up to and including termination. Provide guidance to leaders on employee performance management including coaching, counseling, employee development, and disciplinary actions.
Serve as secondary contact for all team member benefits communications, open enrollment and questions.
Partners with Corporate HR to administer annual performance management, compensation review process, training, talent review, etc.
Maintains compliance with all federal and state regulations.
Track, maintain, summarize and analyze HR metrics and reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual
basis. Present interpretations and recommendations to Corporate HR.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and strong computer literacy. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task are essential. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to organize and prioritize work.
Minimum three (3) years direct Human Resources Generalist experience in a fast-paced environment required.
Bachelor s degree required; BS in Human Resources, Organizational Design, Psychology or related field is highly desired.
PHR or SHRM CP certification is preferred.
Construction or manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to maintain effective and positive business relationships with all levels of staff and to work in a team environment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle access to sensitive information.
